Serving at Risen
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good…For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 12
God intends to use each of us in service to his kingdom purposes, and that means everyone has a role to play. We want to be a church family of participators, not spectators. The following are the primary ways in which members can find opportunities to meaningfully use their time and gifts here at our church. Most of our teams operate on Sunday mornings, but we also have some that provide opportunities to serve throughout the week, as well.
Serve Teams

KIDS
KIDS Shepherds help teach the children of Risen to love and follow Jesus! Our mission is for kids to experience the joy of the gospel and grow in Christ as they discover truths about God, his Word, his Son, and his love.

Connect Team
Our Connect Team loves making people feel valued and seen—whether it’s providing coffee, assisting with directions and seating, or greeting new and old faces. This team helps create an environment for the people of Risen Church by modeling the heart of Christ in showing hospitality.

Facilities Team
The Lord has richly blessed Risen Church with a beautiful property, and the Facilities Team serves our church body by tending to that gift! The team helps maintain the property by tending to landscaping and making minor repairs and improvements to the buildings and grounds.

Prayer Team
The Prayer Team eagerly, faithfully and joyfully gathers to pray together prior to services each week, and is available to pray with the congregation during services each Sunday. We submit to God's leadership and guidance in praying, modeled by Jesus and inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe strongly in the power of prayer and believe that our prayers are being heard and interceded for by our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Worship and Tech Team
The Risen Worship Arts team consists of our Tech Team and Risen Worship band.
Our Tech Team faithfully serves each week by running sound, managing slides, operating cameras, and livestreaming our services.
The Risen Worship band is made up of worship leaders, musicians, and songwriters whose sole purpose is to proclaim the good news of Jesus and to glorify Christ, and Christ alone through song.

Health and Safety Team
The Health and Safety Team is committed to creating a secure and distraction-free environment during Sunday gatherings. Our team is prepared to respond to emergencies by providing proactive care and protection by the training, coordination, and organization of qualified law enforcement and medical professionals. Our team minimizes risks, prevents injuries, and ensures that all emergency situations receive proper attention and care.

Visual Media Team
The Visual Media Team exists to tell the story of God’s work in and through Risen Church. We use our creative gifts of photography, videography, and graphic design to document and share moments in the life of our church we are grateful for.

Students
Our mission is to help students go deeper with each other, their leaders and, most importantly, Jesus. The primary ways we seek to do this is through our student Home Groups, Rise monthly student gatherings, and our students participating in the life and rhythms of their Missional Community.

Parking Team
The Parking Team offers the first welcome to those attending our weekly services, helps maintain flow of traffic into and out of our church property, and helps ensure the safety of those attending services each Sunday.
