Bible Studies

Knowing the Word. Living the Word.

At Risen, our Bible studies are designed to give you confidence to know and live God’s Word. We believe that God primarily speaks to us through Scripture. We carefully walk through books of the Bible to hear from Jesus through his Word. Our studies incorporate personal study and guided group discussion with an aim to learn in community.

How to get involved:

Bible studies last around 10 weeks and cover a specific book in scripture. There will be 1-2 hours of homework per week. There are multiple men’s and women’s Bible studies that meet in various locations and times in Cypress. The cost is $15, and you can pick up your book at church before the first day of class or at Bible study on the first day.

Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies

The Word of God is a feast. At Risen Church, there will be times when we invite you to the dining room. You’ll get a polished sermon on Sundays, and you’ll get a classroom-style lecture at the Risen Institute. But at Bible study, we want to invite you into the kitchen. Not only do we want to serve you the feast, but we also want to show you how to prepare it yourselves. Risen Bible studies will incorporate personal study and guided group discussion with an aim to learn in community.

This study will cover the book of 1 Peter, and we will look at what it means to live as “hopeful exiles” in an increasingly dark world. This study will include a guide with daily questions and background material to help you hear from Jesus in his Word.

We’d love to have you join us!
