Our Connect Team loves making people feel valued and seen—whether it’s providing coffee, assisting with directions and seating, or greeting new and old faces. This team helps create an environment for the people of Risen Church by modeling the heart of Christ in showing hospitality and making everyone feel at home.

"Many of the people I greet on Sunday mornings enjoy eye contact as well as physical, friendly contact. I do! That is simple a way of feeling recognized and as being involved with one person, even if it is a small gesture. For many, Sunday is the only time they have that emotional connection AND feel safe to accept the contact. I feel blessed each time I feel that hug or hand shake returned with a smile.

Adding to all the above reasons I want to continue this practice; the new people I would never meet, much less get to know, would be lost to me. Even when I do not remember their names, we connect in a real way and we are both blessed. I thank God that He claims me as His own."
